Look out for new makes and models debuting on the Motability Car Scheme, such as Audi A6 Saloon and Avant, the eco model of the Ford New Fiesta, the Renault Megane hatchback, Volkswagen Golf and the Volvo XC60.
Plus, Motability Operations expects to add further new models during the first quarter of 2009 including the Audi Q5, the Ford New Ka, the Skoda Octavia and the Volkswagen Eos.
Prestige brands for less
The BMW 1 Series Convertible has fallen in price by over 20% and now has an advance payment of £5,499 for the 118i ES 2d Cnv MP.
Enhanced greener choices
Motability is also working to increase the number of low emission choices available on the Car Scheme. New edition, the Corsa Ecoflex model is available from nil advance payment. Arriving in early 2009 will be Smart cars with the new Multi Hybrid Drive (MHD) stop-start engine and the Blue Efficiency range of the Mercedes Benz A, B, and C-Class. Plus, look out for better prices on diesel models that deliver huge fuel savings throughout the life span of the car.
The prices on the Motability Car Scheme change four times per year. Customers pay the lease costs for a new car with an automatic transfer of either the High Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. Depending on the type of make and model of car chosen, there may be an additional advance payment.
Motability customers enjoy a brand new car every three years including insurance, aftersales servicing and maintenance, full breakdown assistance from the RAC, an allowance of 60,000 miles over a three year period and free tyre and glass replacement.
