A few tips on booking your theatre tickets.

When booking ask where you will be seated. Ask if the seat has a restricted view, these seats should be cheaper.

There are varying degrees of accesssibility for the disabled to venues throughout the UK. Quite often this depends on the age of the building, with newer venues tending to have good access for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility - while some older venues are restricted with their improvements in this area because of their status as a listed building.

So it is a good idea to check for disabled access as well as assisted performance such as signed, audio and captioned performances.

When you are purchasing tickets over the phone or online a few days before the performance, it may be advisable to ask if you can pick your tickets up at the box office before the performance (indeed, this might be the only option near the performance date).

To make for a relaxed evening try to arrive early, around 30 minutes before curtain up, to ensure that you have time to queue and collect your tickets, buy a programme and visit the loo (as queues can be long during the breaks).
